Dr. Albert Richmond takes some Ames children for a buggy ride in 1883. In the front seat are Mary and Winifred Tilden and Tommy Watt, the son of the editor of the "Intelligencer." Dr. Richmond graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School and came to Ames in 1870 at the age of 28. His property in Ames, called the Richmond Addition, is now the site of the Mary Greeley Medical Center, the McFarland Clinic, and other medical practice offices. Richmond died on March 10, 1913.
