South side of Boone Road (now-1991-Lincoln Way) bridge over Squaw Creek in 1890s. Shows plank bridge which existed until the first concrete bridge was built there in 1908. Crowd has gathered. Best guess is that a drowning had occurred. Wife of ISC professor drowned in July 1892 (reportedly a suicide). Also an eleven-year-old boy, Carl O. Olson was drowned in Squaw Creek on July 20, 1892, while swimming with friends.
