Robert Cairns, Jr. home on Douglas Avenue. The house still stands (1991)--the second house north from the corner of Tenth and Douglas on the east side of the street. The porch has been remodeled since this photo which appeared in the 1897 souvenir edition of the "Ames Intelligencer."
