Group photograph of people from Gilbert (Iowa) taken in the studio of Story City (Iowa) photographer A. N. Torp. The group includes Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Paul McFarland, and Billy McGill. The photographer, Andreas (Andrew) Peter Nielsen Torp, was born on February 28, 1852 in Rise Parish, Aabenraa County in Denmark, the son of Jens Nielsen Torp and Anna Caroline Caspersdatter Holm. Andreas was married on June 17, 1879 in Hamilton County, Iowa, to Christina Nelson. The 1880 U.S. Census shows that Andreas and Christina still lived in Hamilton County. [The information on A. N.
