Winifred Tilden's picture taken in preparation for her senior year (1902/03) at Mount Holyoke College in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1904, she became the head of physical education for women at Iowa State College, a position she held until her retirement in 1944. Tilden died on July 4, 1948, at the age of 67.
