Home of George G. and Lydia C. Tilden, built in 1892 on corner of Ninth Street and Douglas Avenue (standing in 1991 at same location, 905 Douglas). Extensively remodeled in 1918. When this photo was taken in about 1904, it was the Sigma Nu Fraternity house. Was a fraternity house for five to ten years. White frame house in background was the Bacon house (George and Martha) at 217 Ninth Street which was removed sometime in 1920s. (See also: 37.187.1; 37.188B.1; 37.189.3-4)
