The Main Street of Collins, Iowa, in southeast Story County, taken sometime in the first decade of the 20th century. The construction of the Milwaukee Railroad line through the county, was the major reason for the establishment of Collins. Passenger service was provide to Collins from 1881 until it was discontinued on March 30, 1981.
