Family tent encampment on Chautauqua ground (north portion of present [1991] Ames Municipal Cemetery) in 1908. K. W. Brown family in front of tent. It was customary for people to camp on grounds during week in August when Chautauqua was held. Newspaper listed names of people with camping reservations each year.
