Looking west on Boone Road (Lincoln Way after 1914) at Lynn Ave. in 1909. Where brushy stand of trees is in upper right is future site of Memorial Union on ISC campus. Interurban tracks can be seen crossing Boone Road. House on left at top of hill is where First National Bank now (1991) stands. Lynn Ave. is street to left; it was then know as "Swamp Street." Whole area was subject to wetness. College Creek is shown to the right. This creek later supplied the artifically-constructed Lake Lavern on ISC campus.
