Three women and a young boy along side of Kellogg Avenue. Kellogg had concrete curbs but was not paved until 1916. The large brick home at left (804 Kellogg) was then owned by Etta Budd; it is now (1991) the Youth Recovery House (part of Youth & Shelter Services). The house showing prominently in the upper right of the photo was the home of the M. K. Smith family (728 Kellogg). It was razed to make way for apartments at the site. In the distant center of the photo is the home of former Iowa State chemical engineering professor John Dodds (318 Seventh Street).
