Chautauqua auditorium which stood in what was later the north portion of the Ames Municipal Cemetery. The dedication of the auditorium occurred in 1912. (An account of the dedication appears in the Ames Evening Times, July 25, 1912.) In 1927 this building was sold to the Ames schools, moved to area near Lincoln Way and was subsequently used as the Ames High School field house. This photo is from newsprint.
