This photograph of a Jewel Tea Co. wagon was obtained by Farwell Brown from the company's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Frank Batman used such a wagon when he sold the company's products to citizens of Ames in early days of 20th century. Frank and Elizabeth's son Albert Batman was a classmate of Farwell Brown at Ames High School (class of 1929) and their daughter, Margaret Batman Morris, was still living in Ames in 1991. Frank Batman later worked for the City of Ames in the water department. The family lived at 1214 Duff Avenue. Elizabeth Batman was the bookkeeper for the Tilden Store in downtown Ames.
