A collection of pictures taken by Ray C. Cunningham when he was a student at South Dakota State College in 1916. A circus elephant had gone on a rampage and was subsequently killed. Ray and eleven of his fellow-students were called upon to skin, dismember, and obtain the skeleton of that elephant. Ray Cunningham led the Y.M.C.A. program at Iowa State College, beginning in 1933 and ending with his retirement in 1953, at the age of sixty.
