Taken from a book, this photograph shows Carrie Chapman Catt (1859-1947) on the far right with other officers of the National American Woman Suffrage Association in June, 1916. Women in the photograph are identified as (left-to-right): Mrs. Henry Rogers, Mrs. Walter McNabb Miller, Helen Patterson, Mrs. James Morrisson, and Mrs. Catt. At the time, only unmarried women were identified with both their given name and their family name; married women carried only their husbands' names. As Carrie Chapman, Mrs. Catt graduated from Iowa State College in 1880.
