The southernmost portion of the panorama of Gilbert, Iowa, between 1915 and 1920. The building on the corner in the left of the photo was a garage; the substantial two-storey building in the center was a hardware store and later a tavern. The white structure in the upper right of the photo is the Congregatrional Church of Gilbert (still ooperating, 1991).
