Pass issued to H. J. Plagge, an Iowa State College student and later a professor of physics at Iowa State, during the flu pandemic of 1918. Passes were required for students and faculty to leave and return to the campus during the epidemic. These permits were issued under the authority of General J. Rush Lincoln, the head of the Military Science Department at the college. This pass is dated November 16, 1918.
