This grandstand was built in 1910 on the west side of Iowa State college's football field. Located on Sheldon Avenue south of West Gate, the field was rededicated as Clyde Williams Field in 1938, and continued as a site for all home games until the 1974 season. Williams had been an ISC football coach from 1906-1909. The stands were removed in the 1970's; only the running track remains (1997).
