Chinese laundry located on the north side of Main Street one or two doors down from the Sheldon-Munn Hotel. Sam Ding was the proprietor of the laundry which stood here through the 1920's. An article in the May 7, 1919 Tribune recounts mistreatment of Ding by a customer. Ding had come to Ames in about 1918, and left unannounced one day. The shop was removed when the hotel was enlarged in 1926.
