A tree house, built in about 1921 by Farwell Brown in his family's back yard on Kellogg Avenue (1011). Brown, about age 12, is shown standing under a trellis in his father's flower garden. A few "boy-built" tree outposts like this one were to be found in the neighborhood as well as a few professionally-built "in-the-tree" platforms. (See also: 193.1097.1-2)
