Ames Boy Scout headquarters, a log cabin built on Fifth Street to the east of an alleyway between Kellogg and Douglas. Cabin was later moved to South Riverside Drive near Second Street where Squaw Creek Bridge is located and made into a residence. E. G. Stowell was scout executive at time this cabin was in use as BSA headquarters. Structure is not a real log cabin (strips of log are adhered to frame structure to give appearance of a log house). To the left in photo is the parsonage for the Methodist Church and a bit of the parsonage for the Baptist Church. Spire of the Methodist Church on Sixth and Kellogg can be seen in back center of photo.
