This (simulated) log cabin was the headquarters for the Ames Boy Scouts and stood on the north side of Fifth Street (west of the back side of the present Ames Public Library). It was constructed in 1926 as a project of the Ames Lions Club. It was moved to South Riverside Drive in the late 1930s and converted to a residence. (See also: 68.349.2)
