Townspeople gather at the site of the derailment of a Union Pacific train at the Duff Avenue railroad crossing sometime in 1952 or 1953. Farwell Brown is not sure of the exact date of the mishap, but recalls that there was one death caused by the derailment, that of a tramp who was riding in one of the boxcars.
