The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation officers sift through rubble on the south side of City Hall after the May 22, 1970, bombing. Injuries, but no fatalities, resulted from the blast, which blew out he windows in several downtown buildings. The person responsible for the bombing was never found. (See also: 133.729.6)
