Photograph, taken by Ruth Hansen Boast during a church-related visit (First Methodist Church of Ames) to the cabin's owner, Margaret Sharp. It shows the the exterior of Sharp's log home, located northeast of Huxley, Iowa. At the time of the photograph, April, 1976, it is clear that the logs are not in good repair. The log cabin was built by Andrew Bard in 1854 and a frame structure was added in 1900. The home was razed in the 1990s.
