The "old" water pollution control plant located just south of Ames on the east side of Lincoln Way, south of Highway 30 (not visible in this photo). Photo is oriented toward the north with Highway 30 beyond the top of the photograph. The "new" water pollution plant at 56797 280th Street began operations in November, 1989. Most of the structures shown here had been removed by 2002, but the two-story brick building in the center of the curved drive stands vacant today. Picture was taken on October 13, 1989, by Gary W.
