Program Details

Between 1998-2000, the City of Ames underwent a new downtown comprehensive plan which included terracotta sculptures displayed on pillars along 5th Street. Artist David B. Dahlquist designed the sculptures, which represented the people, places, and organizations which contributed to Ames' history.

View photos of the sculptures, taken before their removal to storage in 2024, in the Library's Vestibule through February 24.
