Families are invited to a free presentation and book signing with Lauren Tarshis, the award-winning author of the New York Times best-selling "I Survived" series.
Each "I Survived" book explores an important historical event through the eyes of a fictional child, with the goals of building knowledge, sparking curiosity, and modeling resilience.
Tarshis is also author of the Emma Jean Lazarus series, and the editor of "Storyworks Magazine."
Books can be purchased online from Dog-Eared Books ahead of time and picked up at the event: https://dogearedbooksames.com/lauren-tarshis.
A small selection of books will also be available for purchase at the event.
