Program Details
Children and families are invited to learn about African American history through music with a presentation by the African American Museum of Iowa.
Explore the African beats brought to the colonies during slavery, spirituals used to communicate on the plantation, the jazz of the Harlem Renaissance, and the popular music of the Civil Rights movement.
