Program Details
City of Ames Climate Action Plan (CAP) project leaders will provide background on the community’s first CAP process that starts with a look back at our community’s commitment to sustainability through our Resource Recovery Plant, glass recycling program, biodiesel initiative, SunSmart Community Solar farm, and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory.
From there, we’ll cover selecting and moving forward with consultant Sustainability Solutions Group; establishing a GHG reduction goal for Ames, and next steps in the CAP process. We’ll also cover how to stay up-to-date on the process and how to get involved.
