Topic — One4Water

Speaker — Hank Kohler

In 2021 Hank paddled over 1900 miles from west central Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. The uniqueness of the journey, which he named One4Water, was that he left from the same starting point where in 1979 he canoed to Hudson Bay. He was in his twenties then and the trip was really just for the challenge and adventure.

Forty two years later the journey south was for much more. Through donations and book sales, they have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the youth conservation programs at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque. He is not a scientist, but a storyteller and is honored to be able to share tales of One4Water and explain its mission and how the book came to be.
