Ames artist Kristin M Roach's Junk Mail Migration project was initially inspired by the question, "Where does junk mail come from?" which led to identifying the impact of deforestation on Iowa’s backyard, migratory bird populations.

Interactive Tapestry: Roach's interactive Iowa migration mapping tapestry will be on display near the Library's Grand Staircase. The 10 foot tall tapestry demonstrates non-resident bird migration in Iowa with interactive LED lights woven into walnut dyed wool.
