Mack Shelley, Professor of Political Science and Statistics at Iowa State University, will explain the stages of the Iowa legislative process, from the formation of an idea to final enactment and signature by the governor if the bill is approved by the Iowa House and Senate.
We will also explore how the structure and operation of the General Assembly facilitate or hinder the adoption of legislation.
