Program Details

Celebrate the opening of Ames' first permanent StoryWalk® with Ames Public Library! We'll have a ribbon cutting and refreshments, then we'll explore the StoryWalk® together. Stops along the path display the pages of the featured pictured book, so you can read the entire book on your walk through the park.

The Bookmobile will be at the park with plenty of books for all ages to check out.


The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
