Get an introduction to what Tarot is, how it differs from oracle and other card-based divination systems, a brief history of Tarot, and the basic elements of the Tarot deck.
Participants will come away with a better understanding of the basics of Tarot and with a set of exercises and ideas to help build their own practice. Practice time and time for questions is included.
About the Presenter
Susan Harper, Ph.D., is an educator, activist, advocate, and ritual specialist. She holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Southern Methodist University and an MA in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies from Texas Woman's University.
Susan is passionate about making spirituality accessible, practical, and personal. Her workshops focus on using spiritual information and techniques to facilitate transformation in our personal lives. She seeks to help people equip themselves with skills and tools that will aid their continuous growth.
Susan has over two decades' worth of experience with Feminist Spirituality, Wicca and other forms of Contemporary Paganism, energetic healing modalities, Tarot, ecstatic movement, and other transformative practices.
She currently works in higher education and lives in Gilbert, Iowa, where she shares her life with her wife, Stephanie; a somewhat chaotic vegetable garden and a veritable jungle of houseplants; and the world's two most spoiled felines.
