Title IX was signed into law June 23, 1972, impacting girls and women in sports across the United States. Join us in honoring and celebrating these impacts on our community.
While girls sports have always been a part of the Ames High School experience, competitive girls sports were strengthened and expanded through the passage of Title IX. Learn about the history of girls sports at Ames High School through this photo exhibit.
Presented in partnership with Ames Public Library and Ames History Museum.
Watch for a Title IX panel discussion featuring former Iowa State University athletes as well as current and past administrators, Saturday, April 15.
