Topic — Imperial Entrepreneurs: Exploiting the Roman Empire for Private Profit

While everyone knows the Romans were good at looting and pillaging, they were also adept at subtler means of wealth extraction.

This talk will focus on the Roman businessmen (and occasionally women) who operated in the provinces and sometimes even beyond the borders of the empire.
