Join us for a conversation with local author, urban farmer, and community builder Helen Gunderson. Her new two-volume anthology, The Road I Grew Up On: Requiem for a Vanishing Era, consists of regional and neighborhood history, a personal memoir, and spiritual insights as well as many black-and-white and color photographs.
Daniel Hartwig, head of Iowa State University Special Collections and University Archives, will moderate a conversation between Gunderson and Dr. Cornelia Butler Flora, Distinguished Professor of Sociology Emerita at Iowa State University.
After the hour-long event, viewers will have the opportunity to engage in a virtual social hour with Gunderson, Dr. Flora, and other participants.
