Home Allies: 913 & 915 Duff Ave. Studio Apartments

Home Allies is planning to build an 8-unit apartment complex for individuals and small families with incomes at or below 50% of the Ames Area Median Income (most will have incomes at or below 30% AMI) who also have rental or life histories that make it very hard to qualify for tenancy in most apartments. The meeting is to provide information to the property owners and residents living in the area around the proposed project prior to the City of Ames public hearings in mid-February and early March. Note: In response to your policy of not having business meetings if participants may be solicited later, the rents will be subsidized by locally raised money. Participants will be informed community fundraising is going on, but we will keep the discussion focused on the compatibility of the site plan, which is the purpose of the public hearings, and some "low-income' housing concerns.
