Amnesty International's Annual Write-a-Thon

Each year in December, all the local Amnesty International chapters in the world focus letter writing on a handful of cases, generating hundreds of thousands of letters to gain the release of these few prisoners of conscience and individuals at risk of human rights abuse. A laptop is helpful but not required. All letter writing supplies are provided. New members and anyone interested in human rights are welcome any time. The work is appropriate for high school age and up but younger children are welcome in the meeting room. We bring refreshments. No fees.
