Topic -- Pantanal Birds and Jaguars
Speaker -- Dr. Paul Brooke
Dr. Paul Brooke, professor of English at Grand View University, will present on the Pantanal, its birds and its jaguars. Paul Donahue and Brooke have coauthored Panthera Onca: Jaguars of the Northern Pantanal, a book that examines the intricate lives of jaguars, from their courtship to their hunting. Brooke will be showing his own images as well as other professional photographers in the group who have captured amazing shots of jaguars killing prey, mating, fighting, and much more. It will truly be a special night to see these unbelievable photographs and hear about Brooke's own adventures putting the book together and traveling to the Pantanal numerous times.
